Program Development
We design trauma-informed, language-rich programming tailored to the needs of early childhood systems serving vulnerable populations. Programs integrate social emotional language and concepts, emotional regulation, and caregiver engagement in ways that are feasible for real-world implementation.
Program development may include curriculum design, classroom routines, visual supports, caregiver materials, and implementation guidance.
Programs & Services
Mind the Gap, LLC partners with public and private agencies serving at-risk toddlers and preschoolers to strengthen foundational skills to promote school readiness.
Our services are designed to be practical, easily implemented, and responsive to the realities of programs working with children impacted by poverty, chronic stress, and limited access to resources.
Consultation & Technical Assistance
Mind the Gap, LLC provides ongoing consultation and technical assistance to agencies seeking support with complex developmental profiles, challenging behavior, and staff capacity-building.
Consultation focuses on understanding behavior as communication, aligning strategies across settings, and supporting staff in applying trauma-informed practices consistently and effectively.
Professional Development & Training
We offer targeted professional development for educators, clinicians, and agency staff working with young children. Trainings translate research into practical strategies that can be implemented immediately.
Topics may include early language development in the context of adversity, emotion vocabulary and co-regulation, trauma-informed classroom practices, and supporting children with overlapping developmental and regulatory needs.
How Services Are Delivered
Services are customized to the needs, structure, and capacity of each partner organization. Engagements may include one-time trainings, short-term consultation, or longer-term partnerships.
Mind the Gap prioritizes collaboration, clarity, and sustainability—supporting agencies in building internal capacity rather than reliance on outside providers.
